Our 2026 Mascot

Clover The Highland Cow

We have Clover, our sweet and cuddly 2026 Mascot and daughter of our 2023 mascot, Cedar. With her long, luxurious coat and warm brown eyes, Clover captures hearts with just a single moo. But her fluff isn’t just on the outside—she’s soft through and through, with a kind, gentle nature that made her a favorite among visitors of all ages. Highland cows are known for their calm temperament and photogenic looks, and Clover embraced both like a true queen of the fairgrounds.

Jack The Miniature Donkey

Say hello to Jack, the charming 2025 Fair Mascot! This Miniature Sicilian Donkey may be small in size, but he's big on personality—and he's got one favorite pastime: kicking around his giant red soccer ball. Jack’s gentle nature, curious eyes, love of hugs, and playful spirit make him a fan favorite wherever he goes. Whether he's showing off his soccer skills or leaning in for a scratch behind the ears, Jack is ready to steal your heart!

Our 2024 Mascot

Bo the Nigerian Dwarf Goat

Bo, our 2024 Mascot, is a Nigerian Dwarf Goat with a wild streak—he’ll climb, bounce, bleat wherever he wants. Always entertaining, Bo keeps everyone on their toes during the Fair with his mischievous grin and nonstop energy. One moment he’s posing for a photo, the next he’s on top of a hay bale. He may be tiny, but Bo’s personality is larger than life!

About Kaitlyn

Meet Kaitlyn Thornton, a 4th generational farmer, born and raised on her family’s ranch in Tonasket, Washington. The family farm started with 100 acres in the Tonasket area by her Great Grandfather, Roy. The farm eventually went to the wayside until Kaitlyn’s father shared the same passion as Roy and picked up where he left off. Buying back the family’s land piece by piece, the farm grew from just 27 acres to over 440 operational acres.

Rest in Peace, Cedar

Our 2023 Spokane County Interstate Fair mascot, Cedar, tragically passed away on July 23rd, 2026.

With this book reading, we aim to honor her memory, commemorate her life, and celebrate her newborn daughter, Clover, who will be onsite at the event to connect with our community.

Clover will need extra hugs from our local community to support her through this time.

Meet Dalkena Highlands

Derek + Honey Smith

Since 2023, we have partnered with Dalkena Highlands (based in Newport, WA). They are the owners of both Cedar the Highland Cow, and Bo The Nigerian Dwarf Goat, our 2023 and 2024 mascots, respectively. They will be onsite with their kids, Joy and Vincent, all week long at the Fair, ready to meet you and answer any questions you may have about raising animals, or regenerative agriculture!
